Built in 1991, this cathedral stands on the foundations of the historic Georgia
Dental Medical Building. It is an award-winning 23-storey skyscraper developed
primarily for commercial purposes. The architects incorporated pieces of the
original building into the façade of the new structure. This distinct blend
gives thedowntown tower a presence both historic and
contemporary. Several retail shops, services, and cafes dot the interior of the
building, and its adjacent courtyard is a popular relaxation spot. The Canadian
Craft Museum, located on the north end of the site, is a must-see.

Hail and the spring flowers. The small balls of hardened snow fell for more than 15 minutes.Just as iron that is left unprotected in open air will corrode and form a
flaky orange-red outer layer, copper
that is exposed to the elements undergoes a series of chemical reactions that
give the shiny metal a pale green outer layer called a patina. The patina actually protects the copper below the surface from further
corrosion, making it a good water-proofing material for roofs (which is why the
roofs of so many old
buildings are bright green). In fact, the weathering and oxidation of the Statue
of Liberty's copper skin has amounted to just .005 of an inch over the last
century, according to the Copper Development Association.
